most sacred lake in the lap of the
Himalayas having its religious
importance. This kunda (lake) is
considered as one of the sacred
pilgrimage sites is situated close to
the Tibetan border. This holy mountain
lake located in the high elevation is
important for both Hindu and Buddhist
devotees. During every Bhadra (August)
full moon, the devotees visit the lake
and take bath and pay their homage
there. In addition to this, the
spectacular view of the background snow
- capped mountains peaks including the
Dorje Lhakpa is equally eye appealing.
