Driving few hours from Kathmandu along Arniko Highway reaches the Rolwaling trek. Stretching between Langtang and Everest region is the stunning mid-Eastern range of the Himalayas; the Rolwaling valley. This is home to famous peaks such as Mount Ghauri Shankar (7134m), Dorje Lakpa, and many others. A few miles south of the Tibetan border, it is known as one of the seven hidden valleys in the Himalayas. This is a wild and barely explored district where legendary tales of the abominable Snowman, known as the "Yeti", haunt the imagination of climbers. The Rolwaling Himal is a region that stretches to the Bhote Kosi,the only access to Tibet by land from Kathmandu. Although it is a very difficult course and very few people take this route which leads to Khumbu via Tashi Lapcha Pass is a well-known trekking course.
