Ghorepani is well know
for the great huge it offers of both the
Annapurna and the Dhaulagari mountains
while remaining accessible for those
trekkers with limited time.A better view
point is poon hill 3193m , which is
about an hours climb away.Ghorapani can
also be reached on the way back from the
Annapurna sanctuary and conversely it
can be a planned stop on the way to the
sanctuary.Ghorepani means "horse water"
and it is no doubt a welcome watering
stop for the teams of horses, mules and
ponies that carry loads between Pokhara
and Jomsom.Ghandrung is the biggest
Gurung settlement in western Nepal
